Short-Term Running Goals: Use 2010 to build my Base, remain injury free
Looking for a Fall 2010 Half , of Sub 1:20 Next races: Road 2 Hope - Hamilton, ON - Half Marathon (Goal Race)

Long-Term Running Goals: Establish a significant base so in 2 years, I can run competitively in my age group. Personal: Ex-Collegiate X-C and Track guy at Oklahoma State, fell off the running wagon after graduation....started back in Feb 2003, Many injuries and set backs...having to learn the hard way, I guess ? But I have a passion for this sport and love to compete !

Long run -18 miles @ 7:50 aerobic pace
Start of Base Build week 4.
Pretty humid today in Hyde park...but one of the advantages are there are kiosks everywhere that sell water and juices. Had to stop twice to buy water, just to stay somewhat hydrated.
Happy to have this one behind me.

AM : 9.49 miles - Light aerobic pace, still had to fight high humidity, even at 6 AM.
PM : 7.02 miles - Light aerobic pace. Started raining, made it soooo much better.
Good start to the week so far.....have a couple trips to Manchester and Edinburgh planned, Wednesday and Thursday, so i have to top load my week. |
